Faith & Courage…Positive Thougths of Champions | positive thoughts

Positive Thoughts feed us and so do non positive thoughts.

So here is a question, How long does it take to starve a Dream?

The real question is, how long can you afford to keep feeing yourself crappy thoughts! We all do it, we say we are going to stop and we don’t! I wanted to share some ways that I keep positive thoughts, some ideas on how you can make sure you get on a “dream healthy” diet of good thoughts. positive thoughts

Journal your positive thoughts

Write out your day, make special notice of the things that you have done well during the day. It is critical that you begin to see the good in you, that you find the value in you. If you can’t, how can anyone else. So as you start to journal make sure you find the points that are positive, and find the areas that you can improve on. Make sure you note what you could do better the next time you are in the situation. See of you begin to plan your success, the next time you are at the moment, you can have the success you planned for.

Create more positive thoughts by being thankful to those around you.

Take the time to thank those around you, thank them for their smile, their energy. What you will find surprise you. See when you thank someone, most people are conditioned to respond with a, “your welcome”, it makes sense right? The suggestion I have is to thank them for something specific, find that thing they are doing that you are really grateful for and thank them for that. What you will find is that they may not know how to respond. For many it will be the first time someone noticed that “thing” they do so naturally and recognized them for it.

Think about your place of work, how many things do you do well, that everyone takes for granted and therefore you don’t ever get recognized for it.

Do not wait for it to happen to you
I mentor folks from around the world, and often times I hear something that sounds like this: “well I’ve done so much good for all my friends, it’s time for them to thank me”! Thinking like this will not bring you positive thoughts.

To this I say, If they aren’t thanking you, then you must not be doing anything they are thankful for! Now I know that seems harsh, and maybe it is. Here is the reality of life: Perception is Reality!  They are who they are and they are doing what they do and there is no changing that. So if you can’t change them, you have to change you.
Don’t wait for the them! Why would you want to wait to be joyful? Don’t you get joy out of helping others, recognizing others? So if its not your friends, then recognize and thank strangers, we know the response or feedback is always better. :-)

Reward Yourself!
This is a great way to keep your positive thoughts flowing and growing. All to often we are waiting for the “goal” to show up before we reward ourselves, and to that I say… if you are on this side of the grass and you are breathing and working on your goals, then today you are closer than yesterday and for that you deserve a reward. Maybe it’s something like a premium coffee, or a meal you have been craving. The point is to keep the reward equal to the growth, and next time you do something nice for yourself, remember the “step” closer you took toward you goals.

Stop the fear
Who told you to be fearful? Who told you that you should be scared? When you answer that, you will realize that you deserve all the great things you want in your life, and you will instantly stop feeding on fear and doubt! When you work your mind in this direction, you start to have a noticeable change in your mental conversations, your ability to have an increase in positive thoughts jumps through the roof.positive thoughts

Hope this brings you value and that you make the decision to have more of what you want and less of what you don’t! The Choice Is Yours!
